Аннотация

Гипербарическая оксигенация (ГБО), или оксигенобаротерапия, – это дыхание 100%-ным кислородом под давлением, превышающим 1 Ата, по медицинским показаниям. Данный метод появился как направление водолазной медицины и в настоящее время широко используется в терапевтических целях для лечения большого количества патологических состояний. Несмотря на то что первые шаги по изучению воздействия кислорода на организм человека и животных были предприняты Д. Пристли в конце XVIII столетия, внедрение в практическую медицину началось только в середине XX века. На сегодняшний день немногие клиницисты осведомлены в достаточной степени об эффективности этой процедуры. Данный обзор литературы посвящен научно-практическим аспектам применения ГБО и перспективам его развития в клинической и спортивной медицине.
